Why a proper connection matters

When you plug in your charger, you should hear and feel it click firmly into place. The locking pin must fully engage. If the connector isn't seated all the way, even a small gap can cause arcing every time current flows through it.

A single arcing event might seem minor, but repeated arcing gradually degrades the contact surface. Over time this leads to poor charging performance, heat buildup, and potential damage to the port or charger.

  • Never force a connector that feels misaligned — check the orientation first
