GPS Tracking Module – Key Information

FONZ scooters and motorbikes can be fitted with an optional GPS tracker for enhanced security and peace of mind. This article answers the most common questions about how it works, installation, power source, and any ongoing costs.

Do you have a brochure for the GPS module?

We do not have a specific brochure for this function. The module is a 4G GPS tracker (chosen for its range and reliability — 5G offers higher speed but is less suited for GPS tracking).

We supply the SIM card and provide setup instructions. The SIM renews annually at $15 per year (pricing correct as at today).


Is it permanently affixed onto the bike?

Yes. The tracker is securely installed onto the scooter.


Is it hidden?

Yes. For security, the unit is concealed.


Where is it located?

Inside, under the saddle panel.


Is it weatherproof?

Yes. The GPS tracker is weatherproof and suitable for on-road use.


Where does it get its power?

The unit is powered from the main vehicle battery and includes a small internal backup battery.

  • The internal battery recharges automatically from the main battery.

  • If disconnected, it provides approximately 2 hours of power.


Does it require a SIM card?

Yes. A SIM card is required and is supplied as part of the setup.


Any monthly upkeep or cost to maintain?

No monthly upkeep is required. The only cost is the SIM plan renewal, which is $15 per year (as at today).
