# What is a State of Health (SOH) Assessment?

## A State of Health (SOH) assessment is a routine check performed by our technicians to assess the health of components, to make sure your Powerpack and charger are operating safely and as expected

### A state of health assessment is a routine inspection. This article explain what’s included in a State of Health Assessment?

An SOH assessment may include:

- **Visual inspection**  
  Assess the condition of the internal components of the Powerpack. Checking for any signs of damage, wear, moisture, or debris inside charger connectors and components
- **Battery health check**  
  Reviewing the Powerpack’s overall condition, including cell capacity, health and balance
- **Electrical testing**  
  Verifying the Powerpack and charger iare delivering and receiving the correct voltage and current
- **System diagnostics**  
  Scanning for any fault codes or irregular behaviour in the system
- **Connection checks**  
  Ensuring all plugs, ports, and internal connections are clean and secure

An SOH assessment helps to:

- Confirm everything is working within normal parameters
- Identify any early signs of wear or issues
- Maintain safe and reliable operation over time
