Charging your Arthur

Charger features and care for Arthur portable chargers

There are two models of the Charger used to connect to the External Charge Port or Powerpack directly.  A mini charger (3a supply) and a fast charger (10a supply) to avoid 

It is recommended to have the charger mounted to avid accidental dropping/damage.

Charging your Powerpack

  1. Mount the charger in a cool and dry air temperature
  2. Make sure the charger is firmly connected to the Powerpack connector
  3. Plug the charger to standard AC outlet 
  4. Plug charger connector to external charge port or Powerpack of the bike
  5. Switch on and 2 red LEDs displayed will indicate that the Powerpack is charging
  6.  The charger will be turned OFF automatically after the Powerpack is fully charged and Green LED on charger will indicate the Powerpack is fully charged 

Notes: Unplug the charger from AC outlet before unplugging the Powerpack

Unless specified as an onboard charger, your charger is not designed to be carried onboard the vehicle.

Optimum Powerpack storage is 60-80%.

If you're not riding the bike for >2 weeks, store Powerpack charge between 60% to 90% 1-14 days >20%.

WARNING! Never store the PowerPack at 0% or attempt recharging after prolonged discharge.

Make sure the voltage from the AC outlet matches that required by the charger (240V).  Ensure the charger in use matches voltage supplies for the vehicle, i.e. Arthur 1 charger may differ from Arthur 3 charger. FONZ is not responsible for any improper operations.

Every Fonz Moto charger has been tested before shipping. Please contact customer support immediately if there is any damage or malfunction to the charger and discontinue use immediately.

Always charge the Powerpack in a location that is well-ventilated and away from combustible materials and liquids. Do not charge the Powerpack out of the vehicle outdoors. Ensure the Powerpack is in a cool, dry place and protected from the elements when charging and stored.

Only charge the Powerpack with the FONZ External Charger supplied from factory or the FONZ Onboard Charger fitted from factory or approved Arthur accessory chargers compatible with the Powerpack. Using unapproved chargers will void the vehicle warranty, and may cause damage to the Powerpack management system, Powerpack failure, or even fire.
