What is the refund policy?

This article talks about what to do if you change your mind.

We hope that you love making the switch to electric, however we understand in some circumstances people change their mind due to various reasons. 

While significant time and effort is incurred to prepare each vehicle order, we do understand you may change your mind before or after taking delivery.  Please read the below information about refunds and returns.

If the powertrain (performance) set up you've selected isn't working for your commute and lifestyle, we would love to work with you to adjust the powertrain to suit you. We've designed each FONZ with modular powertrains so its easy to do.  Learn more.  


We incur significant costs in the preparation, configuration, customisation, coordination and delivery logistics of each vehicle. As such once the final order is confirmed the below fees and charges are incurred.

Refund: before taking delivery 

For a change of mind refund prior to your vehicle being dispatched from FONZ HQ the following fees and charges will not be refunded:

  • Deposit paid to secure your order

If you decide to go ahead with an order at a later date, the deposit will be credited to your new vehicle order.

Return: after taking delivery

Should you change your mind about a purchase after the vehicle is dispatched from HQ you can return the vehicle within 5 business days of the vehicle dispatch and have the choice between receiving credit or a refund. 

Please note that for a change of mind return after taking delivery, all customisation, transport and other on-costs are non-refundable. The following fees and charges will not be reimbursed:

  • Deposit paid to secure your order
  • Any non-standard options (custom saddle, top case etc)
  • Delivery charges to agreed delivery location
  • Delivery charges to return the vehicle to Fonz Moto Sydney HQ; and
  • Registration and other on road costs such as stamp duty, third party insurance, registration plates
  • Admin handling fee of $250 


We require that the returned vehicle be in original condition and less than 10 kilometres has been travelled.

We require that all other returned product(s) be unused and in the original packaging.

Any items that are not returned to us in the original condition and/or original packaging will incur an additional handling fee (deducted from your refund).

It is the customer's responsibility that all items returned due to a change of mind are returned in a safe manner. Please pack the item sufficiently to avoid damage in transit back to us, original packaging is required in instances where the customer has changed their mind, would like to exchange for a different item, or would like a refund/store credit.

Fonz Moto can be of assistance with the best carriers dedicated to motorcycles to use. Fonz Moto will not take any responsibility for lost or damaged goods. If any such goods are received damaged, a credit/refund will not be issued.

Upon return, the vehicle or product will be inspected and the refund will be issued within 7 business days. We will fully refund you the amount you paid for the order, minus non-refundable  and additional handling fees.
